A Global Network for Ocean Literacy in Action
Launched as a global initiative following the Ocean Literacy World Conference in Venice in June 2024, the Blue Thread recognizes and celebrates individuals, organizations, and businesses that actively promote the principles of the Venice Declaration for Ocean Literacy. The Blue Thread serves as a symbol of commitment to sustainable ocean stewardship, inclusive participation, and innovative approaches to solving ocean-related challenges.
This global network aims to connect those whose work is aligned with the principles of the Venice Declaration and fosters collaboration to amplify the impact of Ocean Literacy efforts around the world. By displaying the Blue Thread label, members showcase their dedication to environmental sustainability, ocean health, and fostering a deeper understanding of our vital connections to the marine world.
The Blue Thread is part of the SEA BEYOND project conducted by UNESCO-IOC together with Prada Group since 2019 to raise awareness of sustainability and ocean preservation.

Long journey with Music and Ocean
Our classical music is driven by a definitive purpose: "Our Oceans are Dying."
This initiative, led by a collective of classical artists since 2022, has already manifested through the creation and performance of five international albums and one monumental opera.
